Clark Loudon Wilson, Jr., 92, a psychologist credited with introducing the concept of 360 feedback to the management training field, died in August 2009 at the Shenandoah Valley Westminster Canterbury retirement community in Winchester, Virginia. There's more information about him here.
Dr Wilson's concept of 360 Degree Feedback, like most great ideas, is very simple, but incredibly powerful. Harnessing the observations and experience of your colleagues to learn and improve your own performance can be one of the most rewarding experiences possible, but requires trust, consistency and a willingness to listen to sometimes difficult messages.
