Multi-language Online 360s and Surveys

This article in Training Zone outlines the difficulties with delivering multi-language online tools.  It makes the very valid point that translations can be technically correct, but not make sense in the context of the business or local region.  To combat this we use translation companies for our initial translations of 360s and surveys, and then pilot these with potential users within the business in the relevant country.  They usually come back to us with a few changes, meaning that the 360 or survey will make more sense to subsequent users.  This extra step ensures quality and means that users and organisations gain much more from the process.  An added bonus is that comparing results internationally has more validity.
