Leaders! What have you done for yourself lately?

In this great article, What have you done for yourself lately?, the author talks about leaders who have been at the peak of their career for a long time, and who have stopped learning, getting feedback and developing.  His recommendations for leaders to kick-start their motivation and creativity (and thereby get their people going as well), are:

  • Give yourself an honest appraisal of where you are -  a good self-assessment tool will help you with this
  • Get reading again
  • Get some training and some coaching
  • Network with peer groups
  • Get 360 Degree Feedback to help you understand how those who work with you assess your strengths and weaknesses

To this list I would add:

  • Use everyday experiences to keep learning!
